The last couple of my bullet journal themes have been pretty florals, and this month I am changing it up with a cute ladybug theme! Ladybugs are such a sign of spring and summer, so I thought it would be a fun bullet journal theme for May. This month I’m also including a mood tracker, habit tracker and how to make a Dutch door. Keep reading for my May 2022 bullet journal setup, including two plan with me videos.

Cover Page
For my cover page this month, I wrote out a small May calendar in the centre of the page. I then filled the rest of the page, along with the other side of this two-page spread, with ladybugs.
My colour scheme this month is red, yellow, pink and orange. Make sure to check out my plan with me videos above to see how I drew all of the ladybugs.
Monthly Calendar
For my two-page calendar spread this month, Sunday to Wednesday is on the right side of the spread and the rest of the week is on the other page. And of course, I also added a bunch of ladybugs all around the calendar.
On this spread, you can also see a peek at my Dutch Door, with a “this month” section poking through on the far right.
Dutch Door
To create a Dutch door on this spread, I cut off part of the second page in my calendar spread. The box with the “this month” heading is actually on the next page.
Mood Tracker
On the other side of my Dutch door is my mood tracker. For my mood tracker this month, I drew 31 little ladybugs for each day of the month.
These ladybugs are different than the rest of the spreads because I am leaving them black and white.
I created a key at the bottom of the page with five different moods in five colours. Every day of the month I will colour in a ladybug with the mood of the day.
Habit Tracker
On the other side of the Dutch door spread is my habit tracker. It’s been a while since I included a habit tracker in my bullet journal, and this month I am bringing it back. This tracker is pretty simple, with four habits across the bottom and each day of the month down the side.
Every day of the month I’m going to draw a little dot in the square if I complete the habit.
Highlights of the Day
For my highlights of the day page this month, I wrote 1 through 16 in one column and 17 through 31 in the second column. I also added lots of cute ladybugs along the bottom of the page.
Coming Next Month
I had a blank page next to the highlights of the day page, so I turned it into a “coming next month” spread.
In this space, I’m going to write out anything coming up in June.
