January 2022 Bullet Journal Setup: Pastel Cloud Theme

January 2022 bullet journal cover page and quote page spread

Happy almost New Year! In my last post, I shared how I set up a brand new bullet journal for the new year, and today I’m setting up all of my monthly pages for January. We currently have so much snow outside, and I love it! Snow makes the winter days so much brighter. Since the beginning of the year can often be pretty dark and glum, I decided to go with a really fun, bright theme for my January bullet journal pages. This month for my January 2022 bullet journal setup, I am doing a pastel cloud theme!

Quote Page

For my quote page this month, I chose: new year, fresh start. January may just be another month, but we can also look at it as a chance for new beginnings, new habits and a fresh start. I never put a lot of pressure on the new year, but I did think this was just a nice, short quote for this page.

I used a Tombow brush pen to write the words on the page.

As I mentioned, my theme this month is pastel clouds, so I filled the rest of the page with clouds in pink, green, blue and yellow with my Crayola markers. I love how they look so much, they are so cheerful!

Cover Page

For my cover page, I used a Sakura Micron Fineliner to write out the word January in lower case letters. I made the letters a little bit offset from each other and I added some stars around the word.

Mood Tracker

Typically the first spread I do after the cover page is the monthly calendar, but I accidentally switched things up this month, and the next page is the mood tracker.

I drew a ribbon banner at the top of the page and coloured it in with a green/teal colour, then wrote the title moods in capital letters inside the banner.

To track my mood every day, I drew 31 little clouds all over the page. I have a key at the bottom with five different moods, and every day I’ll colour in the cloud with the colour that corresponds to the mood of the day.

Highlights of the Day

The next page in my January bullet journal is the highlights of the day page. I drew the same banner at the top of the page for the title, but this time I coloured it in yellow. I actually ran out of room when I was writing the title, which is why it says highlight instead of highlights. To fix this, I could always write out “of the day” below the banner.

I wrote out numbers one to 15 down the left side of the page, and 16 to 30 down the right side. There was no room in either column for 31, so I wrote that below both columns in the middle.

Monthly Calendar

The next spread is monthly calendar. I split the calendar into two pages, with Sunday to Tuesday on the left, and Wednesday to Saturday on the right. This theme is so easy to do, all I did was fill the whole page with lots of pretty clouds.

Weekly Spreads

The next four spreads are my weekly layouts for the month. It’s been a while since I’ve included weekly spreads in my bullet journal, but I thought I would include them again for January and see how I like them.
