DIY Let it Snow Sign

This wood round winter sign is so beautiful, and so easy to make. I used a wood round sign from Dollar Tree and I stained it with an oak gel wood stain. I then cut out a “let it snow” vinyl decal with my Cricut and stuck it onto the sign.

The little snowflake stickers are also from Dollar Tree, and I lightly brushed them with white paint before hot gluing them onto the sign.

The white and burlap chevron wired ribbon is from Dollar Tree, and I folded it a bunch of times and created a nice, full bow for the top of the sign.

DIY Craft Stick Snowflake

This rustic farmhouse snowflake can either be hung on the wall or displayed on a mantel. I used 12 craft sticks, six of which I left as is and hot glued in a snowflake shape.

Before gluing the sticks together, I painted all of them white.

I then cut the other six craft sticks in half and arranged them to make triangular shapes in between the other craft sticks to create a nice snowflake design.

To give it a more rustic look, I dry brushed brown acrylic paint overtop of the white. Then to soften it, I added more white paint overtop to blend it all together better.

DIY Bamboo Skewer Snowflake Sign

To make this rustic farmhouse winter sign, I started with an old Dollar Tree sign from a previous season and sanded it down.

For the base layer, I painted the sign white with chalk paint. Then I went over it and dry brushed on a sand colour, and added more white overtop to blend it all together.

To create a faux shiplap look, I measured the sign and split it into four horizontal sections and drew lines with a black pen.

For the snowflake, I used bamboo skewers. The main part of the snowflake is three skewers, two of which I cut in half so the skewer pieces would not overlap.

To make the smaller pieces of the snowflake, I cut small pieces of the skewers, then glued everything in place on the sign.

DIY Winter Wreath

This frosty, winter wreath is made with a Dollar Tree grapevine wreath and sticks for snowflakes.

I started out by spray painting the wreath with a greyish blue paint, but I didn’t like how blue it was. I then covered most of it up with brown paint. To give it a more frosty look, I dry brushed white paint overtop.

To make my snowflakes, I took a bunch of thin sticks I had gathered during the fall, and I cut them down to size. I painted all the sticks white, then hot glued them together to form the snowflakes.

To make the big bow at the bottom of the wreath, I used a wintery wire ribbon from Walmart.
