DIY Valentine Farmhouse Dollar Tree Signs

Dollar Tree Farmhouse Valentine DIYs

Valentine’s Day is less than a month away! January is such a bleh month, so I think it’s fun to start looking forward to Valentine’s Day. In this post, I’m sharing how to make three DIY Valentine farmhouse Dollar Tree signs. These signs can also be kept up all year round, because they are not over-the-top Valentine’s themed.

DIY Dollar Tree Calendar Valentine’s Sign

If you watched the video, you will know this sign actually started as a fall sign! This is one of the long wooden signs from Dollar Tree, and it has a cutout of a pumpkin at the top. I used one side of this sign as a fall sign last year, and now I’ve turned the other side into a Valentine’s themed sign.

I took a wooden heart cutout from Dollar Tree, and I traced it on a watercolour flower from a Dollar Tree calendar page, then cut it out. I then used decoupage glue and stuck the calendar page onto the heart, and glued the heart onto the sign overtop of the pumpkin cutout.

The rest of the sign is made up of another Dollar Tree calendar page. I cut out a heart and words that say: when you love what you have, you have everything you need.

Using a glue stick, I stuck all of these calendar page pieces onto the sign.

I love how this sign turned out! It’s so pretty and has a vintage farmhouse look. This sign could also be left up anytime of year. Even though it has hearts on it, the saying is generic enough that it works anytime!

DIY Dollar Tree Valentine’s House

This is another sign that could be left up all year. I took a Dollar Tree house, and painted the background white. I also used wood gel stain and stained all the outer edges of the house sign.

To give it more of a rustic farmhouse sign, I took some beige paint and dry brushed it overtop of the white background.

For the Valentine’s look, I hot glued a grapevine heart from Dollar Tree to the sign. Since I wanted this to be Valentine’s themed, but not over-the-top Valentine’s, I wrote the word home in the centre of the heart, making the
“o” a heart shape.

To give this sign some colour, I painted the inside of the heart in the word home pink. I also added a lace ribbon bow to the top of the house.

DIY Dollar Tree Love Sign

This may be the most Valentine’s themed sign of all three DIYs, and I think it is so cute.

I used a small sign from Dollar Tree, and I painted the background white. The edges of the sign were a very light colour, and I lightly painted over it with brown paint. The wood heart with all the heart cutouts inside is also from Dollar Tree, and I painted it pink.

I then hot glued the heart to the sign, along with letter tiles spelling out the word love.
